Product description
Fiberlogy PLA+CF is a 3D printing filament in which classic PLA is reinforced with 10% carbon fibers. This enhancement provides higher stiffness, improved mechanical strength, and an attractive matte finish that effectively masks layer lines and gives models a professional appearance.
PLA+CF retains all the advantages of traditional PLA: low shrinkage, dimensional stability, and ease of use, while delivering significantly better mechanical performance. This makes the filament ideal not only for decorative prints but also for functional technical components and prototypes.
The carbon fibers give the filament both strength and a matte, carbon-like finish, highlighting the character of the models and masking layer lines. As a result, prints are both functional and visually appealing.
Fiberlogy PLA+CF is an excellent choice for:
-
Functional prototypes
-
Parts requiring increased stiffness
-
Technical components with moderate demands
-
Aesthetic prints with a carbon finish
Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibers, hardened nozzles (e.g., steel) are recommended.
Fiberlogy PLA+CF is a great alternative for users who want stronger, more professional prints than standard PLA without needing to use more demanding materials, such as carbon-fiber reinforced nylon.
Recommendations and tips
Print settings
- Printing temperature 210-230°C
- Bed temperature 60°C
- Build surface Smooth PEI, Textured PEI, Glass
- Drying conditions 50°C / 6h
- Enclosure not required
- Cooling fan 75-100%
Tips and recommendations
- Nozzle: The material is highly abrasive. A hardened steel or ruby nozzle is required.
- Handling: Use gloves (micro-damage to the skin may occur). When handling, use a dust mask and safety goggles.
RAL/Pantone
Why not HEX?
Providing the color of 3D printing filament in HEX format does not make sense because this notation was created to describe colors displayed on screens (RGB – monitors, TVs, mobile devices). HEX defines a mix of red, green and blue light, meaning a digital color. With filaments, however, we deal with a physical material. The same filament may look different in various photos and HEX cannot accurately represent the actual appearance of the material.
Much better references are color systems used in printing and industry, such as RAL or Pantone, which are based on real samples and allow for comparison of colors in physical reality.
