PCTG
The Best Alternative to PETG
PCTG filament belongs to the same family of polyesters as the increasingly popular PETG. Compared to its better-known counterpart, PCTG offers higher impact strength, improved heat resistance, and superior clarity, making it the best alternative to PETG. This filament does not require a heated chamber, which allows it to be used on home 3D printers. At the same time, it provides excellent dimensional stability, and its low shrinkage prevents model cracking. All of this makes it an easy-to-print material, even for users with limited 3D printing experience.
PCTG has a much higher impact resistance compared to similar materials (e.g., PETG). It achieves around 90 kJ/m² (PET-G: 5–8 kJ/m²) in the Izod notched impact test. Fiberlogy PCTG also withstands higher temperatures (up to 76°C).
PCTG is recyclable and approved for food contact*. The material is BPA-free.
*applies to the Pure TR version
