PLA+CF

PLA Printability & Carbon Fiber Strength

Fiberlogy PLA+CF is a 3D printing filament reinforced with a 10% addition of carbon fibers, offering superior properties compared to standard PLA filament. This material provides increased stiffness and mechanical strength, making it suitable for a wider range of practical applications.

The filament maintains good dimensional stability and exhibits minimal shrinkage, ensuring precise reproduction of designed details. Its characteristic matte surface finish effectively conceals print layers, giving prints an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

When using this filament, it is recommended to use hardened nozzles due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibers. While retaining the ease of use typical of PLA, this material also offers enhanced properties for creating technical components with increased durability. This makes it a valuable choice for users seeking reliable solutions for their projects without the need for more advanced materials, such as carbon fiber-reinforced nylon.

3D printing applications:

  • SPARE PARTS: machine components of devices, vehicles, electronic equipment
  • MODEL MAKING: structural elements of models, equipment enclosures, drone frames, camera mounts, brackets
  • FINISHED PRODUCTS: small-batch production, prototyping of functional components
  • SPORTS: customized bicycle accessories, protective covers for sports equipment

How to print PLA+CF?

The following parameters are only suggested print settings for this material. To ensure the best print quality, it is necessary to choose the appropriate settings for a specific printer and printing conditions.

Nozzle Temperature 210-230°C
Bed Temperature 60°C
Closed chamber not required
Fan 100%
Flowrate 95-105%
Printing Speed < 150 mm/s
Drying conditions 50°C / 6h
Notes The material has highly abrasive properties. We recommend the use of hardened steel or ruby nozzles.
Wear gloves (the possibility of micro damages on the skin). Use a dust mask and protective glasses when processing.
