Product description

Nylon PA12 retains its properties across a wide temperature range – both above and below 0°C. The material is highly impact-resistant and flexible, elongating up to 50% before breaking. This ensures that printed parts are resistant to cracking and maintain long service life in demanding conditions.

The filament demonstrates excellent resistance to hydraulic fluids, oils, fuels, greases, salt water, and solvents, making it indispensable in the automotive, industrial, and technical sectors. It should be noted, however, that nylon is not resistant to concentrated acids and bases.

Fiberlogy Nylon PA12 is easy to post-process – it can be painted and machined with tools typically used for metal. This makes the prints not only functional but also aesthetically refined and tailored to specific user needs.

Thanks to its high mechanical strength, Nylon PA12 is ideal for producing functional prototypes, machine parts, components exposed to friction, or elements in contact with chemicals. It is a must-have material for every engineering workshop using 3D printing.

To avoid issues related to material shrinkage, it is recommended to use a 3D printer with a closed, heated chamber when printing with Nylon PA12. This ensures dimensional stability and high print quality.

For even more demanding projects, Fiberlogy offers reinforced versions: PA12+CF15 (with carbon fiber) and PA12+GF15 (with glass fiber), which further enhance mechanical strength and stiffness of the final models.

RAL/Pantone

To make it easier to choose the right color variant, we provide RAL and Pantone equivalents for filaments wherever possible. The given values are approximate and are intended to reflect the actual filament shade as closely as possible.

Why not HEX?

Providing the color of 3D printing filament in HEX format does not make sense because this notation was created to describe colors displayed on screens (RGB – monitors, TVs, mobile devices). HEX defines a mix of red, green and blue light, meaning a digital color. With filaments, however, we deal with a physical material. The same filament may look different in various photos and HEX cannot accurately represent the actual appearance of the material.

Much better references are color systems used in printing and industry, such as RAL or Pantone, which are based on real samples and allow for comparison of colors in physical reality.
