PET-G V0

Flame Retardant PET-G Filament

PET-G is the golden mean between ease of printing and durability of the finished model. That’s why this type of 3D printing filament has become very popular. Materials such as Fiberlogy EASY PET-G or ESD PET-G are perfect examples.

PET-G V0 expands the range of FDM/FFF printing materials in Fiberlogy’s portfolio. It is part of the FR (Flame Retardant) family filaments. It’s characterized by non-flammability in accordance with the UL94 V0 standard*. Both the filament and prints made from it are not susceptible to direct flame. On contact, PET-G V0 self-extinguishes in less than 10 seconds. That’s why it is ideal for the production of electronics housings or mechanical components of vehicles and machinery.

Despite its properties, PET-G V0 is still as easy to print as traditional PET-G. It does not require a closed printer or a hardened nozzle. However, please remember that for the highest quality of prints, it is worth ensuring that the filament is properly dried before printing. PET-G V0, like other copolyesters, is highly hygroscopic, meaning that it absorbs moisture from the environment. Prints made from a wet filament, can be brittle and unaesthetic.

*Filament is not certified by Underwriters Laboratories and does not have a UL number.

How to print PET-G V0?

The following parameters are only suggested print settings for this material. To ensure the best print quality, it is necessary to choose the appropriate settings for a specific printer and printing conditions.

Nozzle Temperature 220-250°C
Bed Temperature 90°C
Closed chamber not required
Fan 0-25%
Flowrate 95-105%
Printing Speed < 100 mm/s
Surface masking tape
Retraction (direct) 2-3 mm
Retraction (bowden) 3-5 mm
Retraction Speed 20-45 mm/s
Drying conditions 60°C / 4h
Notes Due to the strong adhesion to the bed, it is not recommended to print directly on its surface or on glass. This can lead to damage. We recommend using a masking tape.
