FiberSmooth

PVB filament easy to post-processing

FiberSmooth is a part of PVB filament family. Polyvinyl butyral (or PVB) greatest advantage is the ease of post-processing, which involves smoothing it with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The model immersed in the liquid or exposed to its vapors is partially dissolved. Thanks to which the outer contours better bond with each other and hide the boundaries of the layers. At the same time, the entire model acquires a porcelain-like, shiny surface.

3D printing with FiberSmooth from Fiberlogy can be compared to PLA filament. It is a print-friendly material and it’s perfect for novice printers. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that the adhesion between the layers is weaker. That is why we recommend a higher bed temperature in order to prevent the model from warping. PVB filament has low shrinkage and is odorless.
